Foreign Minister honors HM King’s Adviser for Diplomatic Affairs

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, today, honored the Adviser to His Majesty the King for Diplomatic Affairs and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

This came during a luncheon hosted by Dr. Al Zayani in honor of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense and senior officials participating in the seventeenth session of the Manama Dialogue Conference.

Dr. Al Zayani expressed his appreciation for the sincere efforts made by Shaikh Khalid, during his tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs, in which he demonstrated high diplomatic competence and great capabilities in managing the political tasks and responsibilities entrusted to ministry and and strengthening brotherly relations.

He commended his role in following up and supervising the Kingdom’s hosting of the Manama Dialogue Conference over the past years and the great success that everyone has witnessed.

He lauded his close relationship which consolidated further with Shaikh Khalid, during his tenure as GCC Secretary-General, and the support from him had a great impact in strengthening joint Gulf action. Wishing him continued success.

Shaikh Khalid expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Al Zayani for this kind gesture and its appreciative implications.

He praised the existing cooperation between them to advance the foreign policy of the Kingdom and achieve its goals in implementation of the lofty directives of His Majesty the King, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
