Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Dr. Rania Al Mashat, UN Under Secretary General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). Dr. Al Zayani expressed appreciation for ESCWA's efforts to foster sustainable development and economic integration throughout the Arab region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and ESCWA to support the Sustainable Development Goals. The discussion underscored ESCWA's pivotal role in promoting economic and social progress in the region and bolstering partnerships between Arab nations and relevant international bodies.
Hatem Abdulhamid Hatem, Chief of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' International Organisations Sector, was also in attendance at the meeting.
