Foreign Minister Engages with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on Cooperation and Regional Issues

Geneva: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Foreign Minister, engaged in a discussion with Volker Trk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, during the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. The meeting centered on fostering cooperation between the ministry and the Human Rights Commission, focusing on the protection of human rights and freedoms.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the dialogue also explored the exchange of visits and expertise, and emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination to achieve common objectives. Both parties shared insights on regional developments, considering their humanitarian impact on civilians and the potential implications for regional security and stability.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, who serves as the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
