Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received copies of the credentials from several newly appointed ambassadors to the Kingdom of Bahrain through a videoconference session.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani received the credentials of Kjersti Tromsdal, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Bahrain, who is resident in Riyadh. He also welcomed the credentials of Nodirjon Turgunov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Bahrain, who is also based in Riyadh. Furthermore, the minister accepted credentials from Jorge Rafael Archila Ruiz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to Bahrain, residing in Abu Dhabi, as well as Anatol Vangheli, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Bahrain, also stationed in Abu Dhabi.
During the engagement, Dr. Al Zayani expressed his appreciation for the robust ties and cooperation between Bahrain and the respective countries of the ambassadors. He underscored the importance of developing and enhancing these relations to serve shared interests effectively. Additionally, he conveyed his wishes for the ambassadors' success in fulfilling their diplomatic responsibilities.
On their part, the ambassadors conveyed their pride in presenting their credentials to the minister and affirmed their commitment to advancing bilateral relations across multiple domains. They also extended their wishes for continued progress, prosperity, and advancement for the Kingdom.
The session was attended by several officials, including Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainees, Acting Head of the European Affairs Sector; Salman Hassan Al Jalahma, Chief of the Americas Affairs; and Muneera Nofal Al Doseri, Chief of the Asia and Pacific Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
