Ljubljana: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Tanja Fajon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, during his visit to the Slovenian capital.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Slovenia. Discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in economic, investment, and trade sectors, with both parties expressing interest in preparing agreements to deepen collaboration in mutually beneficial areas.
The dialogue also included an exchange of expertise and bilateral consultations in international forums. This is particularly significant given Bahrain's upcoming non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council for the 2026-2027 term, and Slovenia's insights from its previous membership during the 2024-2025 term.
Both leaders addressed regional and international developments, emphasizing their commitment to resolving regional conflicts and fostering peace and security. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaliq, Chief of the Coordination and Follow up Sector, and other members of the accompanying delegation.
