Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Alexey Skosyrev, the Russian Federation's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues for joint cooperation in areas beneficial to both nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions included an assessment of the current geopolitical climate, with particular emphasis on recent Iranian actions impacting Bahrain and the broader implications for international navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. The foreign minister and ambassador also exchanged perspectives on ongoing regional and global matters currently being addressed by the United Nations Security Council.
The meeting saw participation from Shaikha Al Anoud bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Chief of the European Affairs Sector, highlighting the importance of European affairs in the dialogue.
