Foreign Minister Chairs Bahrain Summit Initiatives Follow-Up Meeting.

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired a meeting of the committee tasked with following up on the initiatives of the 33rd Arab Summit, hosted by Bahrain in May. The meeting was attended by committee members representing the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister highlighted Bahrain's success in hosting the summit under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said the resolutions included in the Bahrain Declaration reflect HM the King's dedication to advancing joint Arab action and enhancing solidarity and integration among Arab nations. Dr. Al Zayani noted Bahrain's commitment to implementing the summit's initiatives, including the call for an international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, instructing Arab fore ign ministers to engage globally to secure swift recognition of Palestine as a state and its full UN membership. Other initiatives include providing educational services and improving healthcare for those affected by conflicts in the region, and enhancing Arab cooperation in financial technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The Foreign Minister emphasised that these initiatives uphold fundamental human rights, including the right to life, dignity, education, health, and knowledge, underlining the committee's role in tracking progress on these efforts. The committee reviewed agenda items and agreed to continue coordinating with relevant authorities, international organisations, and supporting institutions to advance these key initiatives.
