Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Participates in Madrid Group Meeting on Two-State Solution Implementation

Manama: Bahrain's delegation, led by Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, participated in the Madrid Group meeting on the implementation of the two-state solution.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Jalahma underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain's firm position, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in supporting the Palestinian cause and efforts to implement the two-state solution as the path to achieving a just, comprehensive, and lasting settlement.

He highlighted Bahrain's continued diplomatic efforts, in coordination with the international community, to secure an immediate and permanent ceasefire, ensure the release of hostages and detainees, and guarantee the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to the people of Gaza. He also stressed the importance of creating suitable conditions to revive the peace process towards fair and comprehensive peace that ensures the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state along the June 4, 1967, borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, following the two-state solution, international legitimacy, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

Ambassador Al Jalahma emphasized that comprehensive and lasting peace remains the strategic choice of the Kingdom of Bahrain in support of the region's aspirations for security, stability, and prosperity.
