CBB Treasury Bills Oversubscribed by 182%

Manama: This week's BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 182%. The bills, which carry a maturity period of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The issuance date of these bills is May 28, with a maturity date set for August 27.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the weighted average rate of interest for this issue is 5.23%, slightly lower than the 5.27% seen in the previous issue on May 21. The approximate average price for this week's issue stands at 98.696%, with the lowest accepted price being 98.688%.

This issuance is marked as issue No.2071 with ISIN BH0008875534 of Government Treasury Bills. With the current issuance, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills has reached BD 2.110 billion.
