Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, received Zeeba Askar, CEO of the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB), following her election as the first Bahraini to serve as Presidents Council Representative (PCR) for the Middle East at the CFA Institute. The position was newly established to represent the institute's associations in the region within its global network of associations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa affirmed the competitiveness and distinction of national talent at regional and international levels. He emphasised the importance of continued investment in national expertise and strengthening its presence in international professional institutions and organisations, supporting Bahrain's position as a financial and investment centre and its sustainable economic development. The minister congratulated Askar on the achievement, which reflects the high competence and expertise of national talent, particularly in the financial and investment sectors, and Bahrain's continued support for and empowerment of national professionals across various sectors.
Askar affirmed her commitment to representing Bahrain and the region and contributing to international professional cooperation and knowledge exchange in support of the development of financial services and Bahrain's position in the sector.
