Finance Minister Engages with Arab League Secretary General on Economic Cooperation

Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, received Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, on the sidelines of the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF) 2026, currently hosted by the Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa emphasized the Kingdom's dedication, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to bolstering joint Arab initiatives. The focus is on enhancing collaboration with the Arab League in development and economic sectors, striving toward achieving mutual goals.

The minister acknowledged the positive milestones in joint Arab initiatives, which have contributed to progress and prosperity across Arab nations. The meeting underlined the importance of ongoing cooperation in various domains to sustain these achievements.

In attendance were Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (EDB); Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education; Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development.
