Manama:Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) has entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Comexposium Middle East to explore the potential of hosting events from Comexposium's global portfolio in Bahrain. This development took place in the presence of Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the LOI was signed by Aage Hansen, General Manager of Exhibition World Bahrain, and Jawad El Hajri, General Manager of Comexposium KSA and Middle East. The signing occurred on the sidelines of the 93rd UFI Global Congress, hosted at Exhibition World Bahrain from November 2 to 5.
Sara Ahmed Buhejji, CEO of BTEA and Chairperson of EWB, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Comexposium, highlighting the potential to introduce new international event brands to Bahrain. She noted that Bahrain provides a complementary platform for Comexposium's expansion in the Gulf, especially as the company develops its presence from Riyadh.
Jawad El Hajri reiterated Comexposium's commitment to partnering with EWB to identify suitable opportunities within its portfolio, aiming to create value for all stakeholders involved. He emphasized Bahrain's strategic location, favorable business environment, and modern venue infrastructure as key factors supporting this initiative.
The LOI sets a non-binding framework for both parties to explore potential events and opportunities in Bahrain, aligning with EWB's strategy to diversify its event offerings through partnerships with established international organizers, thereby contributing to the growth of Bahrain’s business events sector.
