Manama: The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Information held its second meeting of 2025, chaired by Abdulrahman Khalid Al Midfaa, Assistant Undersecretary for News and Regulatory Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee reviewed progress in supporting women's advancement within the ministry and discussed new initiatives to highlight women's achievements in the media sector. The meeting served as a platform to evaluate ongoing efforts and to strategize future actions aimed at promoting gender equality in the workplace.
The committee further emphasized the importance of integrating equal opportunities into the institutional policy framework. They commended the efforts of Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, for his consistent support in empowering women, which has been instrumental in driving the committee's agenda forward.
