Electricity Minister Engages with EU Special Representative for Gulf Cooperation


Manama: Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, engaged in discussions with Luigi Di Maio, the European Union Special Representative for the Gulf. The meeting, which took place in Manama, also saw the presence of the Ambassador of the European Union to the Kingdom of Bahrain along with other members of the delegation.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on exploring areas of cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, aiming to enhance strategic partnerships and facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge. The meeting underscored the mutual interest in developing these sectors further.



Minister Humaidan expressed Bahrain’s dedication to fortifying collaborations with international allies, emphasizing the importance of advancing current partnerships to ensure knowledge transfer and the implementation of innovative solutions in the energy and water sectors. This initiative aligns with the broader sustainable development goals.



Luigi Di Maio acknowledged Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to advance its energy sector, stating the significance of broadening cooperation to benefit mutual interests.
