Electricity Minister Discusses Sustainable Energy Cooperation in Rome

Rome: Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, held a meeting with Dario Scannapieco, CEO of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP). The meeting reviewed means to strengthen cooperation in sustainable energy and resource efficiency, exchange successful experiences, and apply best practices in clean energy project development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Humaidan underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to promoting sustainable environmental transformation through the adoption of renewable energy sources and the innovative use of available resources. He highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation with leading countries and global companies in sustainable energy to develop energy infrastructure and improve the efficient use of natural resources in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Minister Humaidan emphasized the importance of continued knowledge exchange between the two countries and supporting research and development efforts in the clean energy sector to achieve a sustainable transition based on renewable sources. He also met with Flavio Cattaneo, General Manager of Enel, one of the world's leading electricity production and distribution companies. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the development of electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure using the latest environmentally friendly technologies, as well as encouraging investment in environmental projects, including water resource management, waste treatment, and recycling.
