Egyptian President receives participants in the conference on combating transnational crimes

Cairo, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi today received Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fadhl Al Bouainain, Secretary General of the Arab Public Prosecutions Association, as well as members and participants who took part in the international conference on combating transnational crimes.

 

President El Sisi patronized the conference, which was organized by the Egyptian Public Prosecution in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Counter-Terrorism Project in the Middle East and North Africa (CT MENA), and the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS).

 

President El Sisi welcomed them, stressing the crucial importance of the rule of the law, which represents the pillar of justice and the cornerstone for the stability of Society.

 

Dr. Al Bouainain chaired the first session, which focused on the international and regional framework for combating transnational crime and the mechanisms for judicial cooperation, in light of UN covenants and Arab, African and European regional conventions.

 

An agreement was signed between the Arab and African Public Prosecutions Associations  to develop advocates’ competences, exchange expertise and bolster international judicial cooperation.

 

The deal was signed by Dr. Al Bouainain, who was re-elected for a second term as Secretary-General of the Arab Association of Public Prosecutions.
