Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, met with Ervin Ibrahimovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, to discuss efforts to combat illegal migration and terrorism.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Abdelatty reviewed the efforts of the Arab Republic of Egypt to become a regional and international hub for energy exchange, outlining opportunities for cooperation with Montenegro in this field, including the construction of solar and wind power stations.
He noted that Egypt's exports to Montenegro reached $4.6 million in 2024, emphasizing the importance of increasing trade exchange and supporting mutual investment in line with the economic potential of both countries.
Following the talks, a memorandum of understanding was signed to establish a political consultation mechanism between the two countries as an institutional framework for bilateral dialogue.
