Education Ministry and BQA Collaborate on National Exams for Grade 12 Students

Manama: The Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is set to administer the National Examinations for Grade 12 students from Sunday, March 29 to Tuesday, March 31. Participation is mandatory for all students in government schools across the Kingdom, while it remains optional for those in private schools.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the National Examinations aim to evaluate the knowledge and skills that students have gained during their pre-university education. The examinations cover subjects including Arabic Language, English Language, and Mathematical Skills, focusing on core linguistic and numeracy competencies, as well as students’ abilities to analyze, interpret, and apply information effectively.

Beyond assessing skills, the examinations help students identify their academic strengths, aiding them in making informed decisions regarding their future fields of study. The results of these examinations may also be considered by higher education institutions in Bahrain as part of their admission criteria, aligning with each institution’s specific policies and regulations to support students’ academic advancement.

The BQA has been responsible for the implementation of the National Examinations since 2009. Developed by educational experts and specialists, the examinations are administered in coordination with the Ministry of Education, adhering to approved standards and timelines.
