Education Minister Receives Japanese Ambassador to Discuss Academic Collaborations

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, received Okai Asako, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Juma highlighted the strong cooperation between Bahrain and Japan across various domains, particularly in education and higher education.

According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation in scholarships and academic programmes, as well as enhancing opportunities for Bahraini students to enroll in leading higher education institutions in Japan. Both sides discussed enhancing student activities and school visits in partnership with relevant Japanese entities, to increase students' knowledge and exposure to Japan's experiences in industry and technology.

On her part, Ambassador Asako expressed appreciation to the Minister of Education for the ministry's commitment to cooperation across various domains, affirming continued coordination in support of the education sector.
