Education Minister Praises King’s Speech for New Academic Year Initiatives

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, expressed his pride in the content of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's address marking the start of the new 2026-2027 academic year.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister commended the address for highlighting the measures taken by the government, under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to ensure the continuity of education during the previous academic year. He acknowledged the efforts of educational, administrative, and technical personnel across educational institutions in achieving this continuity.

Dr. Juma extended his deepest gratitude to His Majesty for the congratulations conveyed to students, teachers, and parents on the resumption of in-person learning across all educational institutions, following the exceptional circumstances experienced by the Kingdom during the previous academic year. He affirmed that the royal support for the education sector would significantly motivate all stakeholders to achieve further educational accomplishments during the new academic year through concerted efforts.

The minister valued the support extended to the Ministry in its efforts to enhance the quality of education and improve its outcomes, modernize infrastructure, develop curricula across all educational stages, enhance teachers' professional development, improve the school environment, and ensure educational services are provided to all citizens.

He noted that the ministry's use of modern technology in education, combined with the adoption of international best practices in developing educational pathways and options for students, had enabled it to complete its preparations for the new academic year to the highest standard. Dr. Juma renewed the ministry's commitment to advancing the implementation of His Majesty's vision and translating his directives into further educational achievements. These efforts aim to equip students with modern knowledge and skills, preparing them to serve the Kingdom of Bahrain and contribute to its present and future development.
