Education Minister Confirms 95% of Eligible Students Have Applied for Scholarships

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, confirmed that there has been a very strong response from eligible students registering for scholarships, with 95% submitting their preferences through the ministry's scholarship services website. This is the highest response rate recorded by the ministry.

According to Bahrain News Agency, there is still time for eligible students to apply for scholarships, as the application period will remain open for two months until university acceptance letters are received. Dr. Juma highlighted that the ministry will work flexibly with all students during this period.

The Education Minister said that once the application period ends, the relevant department at the ministry, represented by the Scholarships and Student Grants Centre, will review and sort the applications and allocate scholarships based on the highest grades and ranking. He emphasised that the ministry will apply the highest standards of fairness and transparency in awarding scholarships.

He also noted that the ministry will hold a new meeting at the beginning of August with top students from schools across the Kingdom of Bahrain and high-achieving students before the announcement of scholarship allocations.
