Education Minister Chairs Meeting on Preparations for 2026-2027 Academic Year

Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, chaired a meeting of the committee overseeing preparations for the start of the academic year. The committee reviewed the results of the current academic year and approved the final reports on secondary school student results, which recorded a pass rate of around 96%. It also approved the academic calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year, including all academic milestones and related events. The calendar is available on the Ministry of Education's website. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Education Minister noted that preparations for the new academic year began at an early stage, with all educational and support sectors working to meet the necessary educational, organisational, and logistical requirements to ensure a successful start to the school year. Dr. Juma expressed appreciation for the support and patronage accorded to the education sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al K halifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that such support has enabled the sector to achieve high educational standards. The committee also reviewed the main achievements of the academic year and the objectives attained through the ministry's projects, initiatives, and programmes. The meeting further discussed preparations for the start of the new academic year and assigned the relevant teams across all sectors to follow up on the responsibilities entrusted to them.
