Manama: The Board of Trustees of the Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa College of Islamic Studies convened for its regular meeting, chaired by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The meeting saw participation from Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif Mahmood Al Mahmood, chairs of the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Councils, along with other board members and several invited experts and specialists.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Board expressed its appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continuous support and patronage. This backing underscores the Kingdom's commitment to advancing Islamic and Sharia sciences.
The Board also welcomed Dr. Hamad Ibrahim Al Abdullah as the new Dean of the College and wished him success in his role. During the meeting, several key items were discussed, including the approval of the graduation of a new cohort of students specializing in Sharia and Islamic banking. Additionally, the Board endorsed a new structure for the Bachelor's program in Sharia and deliberated on a proposed preparatory program.
Updates on the college's new building were also reviewed, with the Board emphasizing its readiness ahead of the official inauguration, which is scheduled to take place soon. The meeting concluded with a series of resolutions and recommendations aimed at enhancing the college's academic framework and improving the quality of its educational outcomes.
