Manama: Under the support of Her Highness Shaikha Noora bint Hamad Al Khalifa, Captain of Al Fursan Team, Bahraini dressage rider Aneesa Al Mahmood is preparing to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain at the FEI Asian Championships 2025 (Dressage) in Thailand. The support reflects Her Highness’ commitment to empowering emerging Bahraini equestrian talent and strengthening their presence in major international competitions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikha Noora bint Hamad said the initiative aligns with the aspirations of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, to continue advancing Bahraini equestrian sport and ensuring a strong presence in external events. Her Highness wished Al Mahmood success in her upcoming championship campaign, noting that investing in young riders is an essential part of developing the sport.
Aneesa Al Mahmood is regarded as one of Bahrain’s promising dressage riders, having delivered consistent performances in international competitions. She was selected to compete at the Asian Championship with her horse Handsome (Tuschinski), becoming one of the youngest competitors at this continental event.
She has competed in CDI Hartpury and CDI Hagen events and has shown notable progress in domestic competitions in the Netherlands, demonstrating her readiness to build a strong professional career.
