Manama: Dr. Taha Alaradi, Specialist in haematology and oncology at the Government Hospitals, has been awarded the Advanced European Certification in flow cytometry for the diagnosis of haematological diseases and cancers, becoming the first Bahraini physician to attain this distinguished scientific accreditation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this recognition marks the culmination of Dr. Alaradi's efforts in advancing precise diagnostic practices using state-of-the-art laboratory technologies. Flow cytometry is regarded as a leading tool for diagnosing and monitoring treatment response in blood cancers.
The Government Hospitals expressed their pride in this achievement, noting that the European certification is among the highest international qualifications in this field.
Dr. Alaradi's current research focuses on myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), analysing genetic and molecular changes in collaboration with renowned international research centres, with the aim of developing advanced treatment protocols aligned with the latest global developments in this specialised area.
