Manama: Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, commended the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to strengthen penalties for traffic violations and accidents that result in serious injuries or fatalities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Rumaihi emphasised the importance of road safety for public security and underscored the committee's readiness to work with the government to speed up the approval of these new laws.
He also commended the Ministry of Interior and traffic officers for their efforts to protect lives and reduce accidents. He called on everyone to follow traffic rules, emphasising that improving road safety is a shared responsibility.
