Manama: During the Diplomatic Forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Bahrain Diplomatic Day, a session was held under the title "Economic Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain: Solid Pillars and Distinguished Achievements". The session was moderated by Ambassador Yousif Ahmed, Ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of strengthening economic diplomacy as one of the pillars of foreign policy, noting the role of the ambassadors in representing the Kingdom and promoting its economic success stories globally. He emphasized the need to enhance coordination between diplomatic missions and economic institutions in Bahrain to unify efforts and achieve common goals.
Ali Al Mudaifa, Chief Business Development Officer at the Economic Development Board (EDB), reviewed Bahrain's most prominent economic achievements, pointing to ongoing efforts to diversify the economy and enhance the investment environment. He noted that Bahrain has become a model for sustainable development in the region.
He highlighted the importance of focusing on innovation and supporting small and medium enterprises as a fundamental pillar for achieving comprehensive development. Al Mudaifa added that Bahrain adopts an integrated approach to economic development, combining investments in infrastructure, developing national skills, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector. He pointed out the Bahraini Government's commitment to providing a legislative and regulatory environment that supports economic growth and facilitates the entry of foreign investments.
Ian Lindsay, Advisor to the Board of Directors of the EDB, spoke about the factors that make Bahrain a preferred destination for investment. He emphasized the strengths represented by the distinguished Bahraini human cadres, competitive costs, fruitful partnerships, and the Kingdom's geographical location. Lindsay highlighted that Bahrain provides a favorable environment for global companies, citing success stories of major investments in the fields of technology and financial services.
