Manama: The Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat) hosted its annual Ramadhan gathering. Dr. Khalifa bin Ali Al Fadhel, a Member of the Board of Trustees of Derasat, highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing research and knowledge, emphasising their role in Bahrain's comprehensive and sustainable development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Fadhel highlighted Derasat's achievements as a leading regional research institution committed to high standards of excellence. He underscored the centre's vision for a knowledge-driven future, integrating expertise with innovation to serve Bahrain's strategic and development goals.
He outlined Derasat's success in providing research, studies, and reports to support decision-makers, enhancing monitoring and analysis efforts, organising discussions and surveys, and fostering partnerships with academic, diplomatic, and research institutions. He also noted the centre's use of innovative foresight tools to address security and strategic challenges, aligning with Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and sustainable development objectives.
Dr. Al Fadhel emphasised Derasat's commitment to training specialised researchers and professionals, particularly young talent, equipping them with scientific methodologies, digital skills, and publishing opportunities to contribute to Bahrain's academic and intellectual landscape.
Dr. Al Fadhel honoured outstanding young researchers, presenting them with commemorative shields in recognition of their contributions to national development and excellence in research. He underscored Bahrain's dedication to building a sustainable future through knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and a unified national effort.
