Derasat Board of Trustees Chairman Highlights National Vision for Rule of Law and Sustainable Development

Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat), emphasised that the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has provided a solid foundation for modernising Bahrain's political system, strengthening the rule of law, social justice, and sustainable development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this took place during a dialogue session organised by the Bahrain Institute for Political Development as part of its "National Pathways" programme, focusing on Bahrain's national vision for modernising the political system. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed highlighted the constructive cooperation between Derasat and the institute in providing decision-makers with accurate scientific analyses to enhance political awareness among national cadres. He emphasised that effective government work, led by His Majesty and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is essential to advancing political and democratic development, institutional integration, transparency, accountability, and efficient governance, supporting Bahrain's comprehensive sustainable development.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed noted that HM the King's speech at the opening of the fourth session of the sixth legislative term provides a national roadmap for continued development, cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities, building constitutional institutions, and upholding Bahrain's national identity rooted in Islamic principles, consultation, justice, and heritage.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed also highlighted Bahrain's achievements in democracy, political participation, human rights, women's political empowerment, youth engagement, and national dialogue under the parliament, reflecting the maturity and sustainability of the political process in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, government programs, and the National Human Rights Plan (2022-2026).

During the session, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed exchanged views with government directors and officials, reiterating his appreciation for the institute's "National Paths" programme, which enhances government leadership skills, institutional and political work, and contributes to Bahrain's sustainable development.
