Deputy Prime Minister Receives Indian Parliamentary Delegation in Manama

Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, welcomed members of the Indian Parliament, led by MP Baijayant Panda, during a recent meeting. The session was also attended by Ghanem bin Fadhl Al Buainain, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs. Shaikh Khalid underscored the enduring historical ties between Bahrain and India, which are rooted in mutual respect and understanding. He emphasized the importance of fostering bilateral cooperation to benefit both nations and their citizens across multiple sectors.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid commended the significant contributions of the Indian community in Bahrain's development. He noted their active role and the broad recognition they receive across various sectors. This acknowledgment, he said, reflects Bahrain's core values of tolerance, coexistence, openness, and respect for cultural and religious diversity.

Shaikh Khalid also highlighted Bahrain's position on regional and international matters, reiterating the Kingdom's commitment to peace, dialogue, and diplomacy as civilized ways to resolve conflicts. He emphasized Bahrain's rejection of all forms of violence and stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability as foundational elements for sustainable development.

MP Baijayant Panda expressed India's dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Bahrain. He extended his best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity.
