Manama: A: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, met with Stephanie L. Hallett, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the deep longstanding historical and strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, noting their continued development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah highlighted the importance of building on the achievements realised in the course of bilateral relations and continuing to strengthen cooperation and coordination across various domains, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and supports efforts towards development and stability in the region. During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister wished her success in carrying out her duties in a way that contributes to further strengthening the distinguished bonds of cooperation and friendship that have extended for decades between the two countries.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah noted that bilateral agreements constitute a solid foundation for advancing the existing partnership, affirming the Kingdom's keenness to expand cooperation, particularly in vital economic and investment sectors. The meeting also reviewed overall regional and international developments, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
For her part, the ambassador expressed her appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister, affirming her country's aspiration to continue working closely with the Kingdom of Bahrain to advance strategic bilateral relations and achieve shared objectives. She also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
