Deputy Prime Minister Launches Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on a series of high-profile events that took place over the past 24 hours.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister inaugurated the Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Show, a significant event that gathered industry leaders and stakeholders. In a related series of meetings, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad received the Halliburton Chairman and met with Chevron's President of Base Assets and Emerging Countries. He also held discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of Schlumberger (SLB) and Aramco's President of Upstream, further strengthening Bahrain's ties with key players in the oil and gas sector. Additionally, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad received the CEO of Kuwait Oil Company.

In infrastructure development, HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman marked the official opening of the Al Jasra Interchange Development Project, an important milestone in Bahrain's ongoing infrastructure improvements. Meanwhile, in sports development, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attended the signing of an agreement to construct a services building for Maameer Club.

In response to directives from HM the King, passport renewals were granted to Bahrainis affected by the revocation of their Kuwaiti citizenship. This move was part of Bahrain's efforts to support its citizens abroad.

Bahrain also observed World Patient Safety Day, emphasizing its commitment to healthcare standards. Additionally, the General Secretariat of the Arab League and the Municipalities Ministry signed a cooperation agreement, solidifying collaboration on various municipal projects.

In cultural initiatives, the Youth Minister announced the establishment of the Beyt Al Oud Society. Bahrain is also preparing to celebrate its National Day with a pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka.

In legal proceedings, the Public Prosecution convicted ten individuals for making fraudulent claims from the Social Insurance Organisation and Tamkeen, underscoring Bahrain's stance against fraud and corruption.
