Deputy Prime Minister Hosts GCC Justice Ministers Meeting

Manama:Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, welcomed the Gulf Cooperation Council Ministers of Justice to the 36th GCC Justice Ministers meeting. The event included the participation of Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah emphasized Bahrain's commitment, guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the judicial system's efficiency across GCC countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that the stability and development of judicial systems in the GCC are rooted in their historical expertise and the ongoing vision of GCC leaders. These leaders are dedicated to strengthening the rule of law and ensuring effective justice as foundational elements of regional stability and development.

He stressed the necessity of continued cooperation among GCC justice ministries to address shared challenges and leverage close regional ties. Updating legislation and litigation procedures to adapt to rapid changes is crucial for protecting rights and simplifying processes for litigants.

The GCC Justice Ministers praised Bahrain's efforts in organizing the meeting, expressing their hopes for the Kingdom's continued progress and prosperity. They wished for successful outcomes from the meeting that would further support joint Gulf action.
