Manama: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, held a meeting with HE Steven C. Bondy, the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace. The meeting focused on reinforcing the longstanding relationship between the two nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the historic ties between Bahrain and the United States, which span multiple sectors. He highlighted their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations further. The Deputy King noted the strategic partnerships between the two countries, bolstered by agreements such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which has significantly enhanced cooperation.
His Royal Highness also pointed to the United States' essential role in maintaining security and stability, which are vital for advancing sustainable development. The discussions also covered regional and global developments and issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy.
