Manama: The Civil Service Bureau (CSB), in cooperation with the Malaysian Public Service Department, recently conducted the inaugural joint virtual knowledge-sharing session. This session is a result of the cooperation agreement between the governments of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Malaysia, showcasing their dedication to enhancing their strategic partnership and exchanging expertise in public sector development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the session concentrated on the modernisation of the public sector and fostering a culture of innovation. It served as an interactive platform for exchanging experiences and discussing strategies to advance government operations, enhance institutional innovation, improve governance, and elevate the quality of government services.
Fahad Abdulaziz Al Buainain, who serves as the Chief of Human Resources Strategies and Policies at the CSB, presented on the topic of shared services in the civil service. He emphasized Bahrain's progress in developing the shared services model, which has been instrumental in boosting government efficiency, enhancing service quality, and promoting integration among governmental entities while reinforcing institutional governance.
The Malaysian Public Service Department also shared its approach to public sector reform, which focuses on the integration of people, processes, and technology to spur innovation. Their presentation highlighted key initiatives and practices that have facilitated modernisation and innovation within Malaysia's public sector.
This session is part of a broader effort to enhance international cooperation and knowledge exchange with leading government institutions, aimed at sharing successful experiences and adopting global best practices in public sector development and institutional capacity building.
