Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Honourable E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the shared commitment to enhancing cooperation with Bermuda to promote growth and prosperity and achieve common aspirations. His Royal Highness also emphasised the importance of continuing to advance joint coordination to create future opportunities in the interests of both nations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the meeting, several announcements were made to solidify the partnership between Bahrain and Bermuda. These include granting Bermuda sovereignty over the data of subscribers in cloud computing centres located in the Kingdom of Bahrain, granting partner status to Bermuda for the maritime-air freight service in Bahrain, and allowing entry visas upon arrival for holders of Bermudian passports.
The meeting also covered discussions on avenues to advance cooperation, as well as the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest. HRH the Crown Prince and the Premier of Bermuda toured the Prime Minister’s Office, where the Premier was briefed on the Office’s workstreams, plans, and projects.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with several senior officials, also attended the meeting.
