Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, engaged in discussions with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between Bahrain and Pakistan, with a focus on mutual cooperation in military and defense sectors. According to Bahrain News Agency, Prince Salman highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two nations, emphasizing a shared commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors. The discussions aimed to build on existing partnerships to benefit both countries and their citizens. Prince Salman acknowledged Pakistan's significant role in maintaining regional peace and security alongside allied countries and praised the contributions of the Pakistani community to Bahrain's development. The meeting also addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and issues of mutual interest. Admiral Naveed Ashraf expressed his gratitude for Prince Salman's commitment to enhancing ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, particularly in military and defense areas. He also conveyed his wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity. The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Bahrain Defence Force Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, and other senior officials.
