Crown Prince of Bahrain Meets King of Jordan to Strengthen Bilateral Ties


Amman: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with His Majesty King Abdulla II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan during an official visit to Jordan. His Royal Highness Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, also attended the meeting.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Jordan. His Royal Highness emphasized that the bilateral ties between the two nations provide a robust foundation for a stronger strategic partnership. The support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Abdulla II Ibn Al Hussein has been instrumental in strengthening these relations and achieving mutual goals.



His Royal Highness conveyed greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to King Abdulla II, along with best wishes for Jordan’s continued progress and prosperity. In response, King Abdulla II sent his greetings to King Hamad and expressed hopes for further development and prosperity for Bahrain and its citizens.



The Crown Prince praised King Abdulla II’s efforts in bolstering the partnership between the two nations. He acknowledged Jordan’s solidarity with Bahrain against hostile Iranian actions and reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for Jordan’s sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity.



Prince Salman bin Hamad stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and joint efforts to create opportunities that benefit both nations and their people. The meeting also covered ways to further develop the partnership, and discussions on regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest were held.



Upon arrival at King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba, His Royal Highness was received by King Abdulla II and Crown Prince Al Hussein. The aircraft was escorted by the Royal Jordanian Air Force, marking a warm welcome for His Royal Highness’s visit.
