Crown Prince of Bahrain Addresses GCC, Arab, and EU Leaders on Iranian Aggression

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, participated remotely in a meeting with leaders and representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council, Arab, and European Union countries. The discussion focused on regional developments amidst ongoing aggression from Iran targeting Bahrain and allied nations.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Crown Prince extended greetings during Ramadan and thanked the European Union for facilitating the meeting. He emphasized the importance of unity in response to Iran's unlawful attacks against Bahrain and other nations in the region. These attacks have included missile and drone strikes on residential areas, civilian infrastructures, energy facilities, and water desalination plants.

The Crown Prince highlighted that these actions violate international and humanitarian law, causing civilian casualties and threatening regional stability. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to dialogue and diplomacy for lasting peace but stressed that diplomacy cannot prevail under continued aggression. He called for decisive action from the international community to protect maritime traffic and maintain the flow of goods through the Straits of Hormuz, urging the European Union and United Nations Security Council to act swiftly.

The Crown Prince expressed Bahrain's support for Lebanon and Syria, aligning with sentiments shared by King Abdulla and President Al Sisi. He affirmed Bahrain's right to defend its sovereignty and citizens as per Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The Crown Prince concluded by advocating for continued cooperation with international partners to address the ongoing challenges.
