Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today directed the Ministry of Labour to provide three job opportunities for each registered Bahraini employment applicant by the end of the year. This directive was given during a work meeting chaired by the Crown Prince at Gudaibiya Palace, focusing on the progress of employment opportunities for Bahraini citizens.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH the Crown Prince emphasized that all efforts are aligned with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's vision, with Bahraini citizens being the focal point of the Kingdom's comprehensive development. He highlighted that creating suitable employment opportunities for Bahrainis is a key priority for the nation's growth.
Prince Salman bin Hamad praised the national workforce for their commitment and contributions to Bahrain's development, noting their historical advancements in various sectors. He pointed out that from pearl diving to oil and gas discovery, and from banking to industrial growth, Bahrainis have consistently advanced in their fields, assuming leadership roles. The Crown Prince highlighted the current expansion in communications, information technology, and tourism industries, where Bahrainis continue to excel.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister underlined the skills and capabilities of Bahraini citizens as a significant investment attraction and a driving force behind economic growth. He reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to investing in its citizens' potential, ensuring they remain central to the nation's investment strategies for a prosperous future.
Concluding the meeting, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad reiterated the importance of the private sector as a key partner of the public sector in driving economic growth. He emphasized the need to strengthen this partnership to achieve shared aspirations and deliver benefits to Bahraini citizens.
The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister; HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; HE Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Minister of Shura and Representatives Council Affairs; and HE Yusif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, among others.
