Jakarta: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, met with Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC), on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC) in Indonesia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on developing cooperation between the Parliamentary Division and the OIC Union, particularly in enhancing legislative support mechanisms such as technical, research, and information services. Additionally, the session provided an opportunity to review several key initiatives and programs that Bahrain's Council of Representatives has organized to bolster parliamentary effectiveness and community engagement.
Niass praised the Bahraini Parliamentary Division for its dynamic and innovative contributions to Islamic parliamentary collaboration. He emphasized the role of the Association of Secretaries-General within the Union in strengthening the capacities of parliaments and legislative bodies across member states.
