Council for International Dispute Resolution of Bahrain Hosts Leading Arbitration Expert

Manama: The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) and the Council for International Dispute Resolution of the Kingdom of Bahrain recently hosted Professor Jonathan C. Hamilton, a Partner and Co-Chair of International Arbitration at Paul Hastings LLP. Professor Hamilton, who also holds the position of Distinguished Faculty Chair at the International Arbitration Institute at the University of Miami School of Law, visited to discuss enhancing cooperation in international arbitration, legal training, institutional exchange, and educational initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Professor Hamilton's visit included meetings with key figures such as Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson, Vice Chair of the BCDR Board of Trustees and Secretary General of the Council, and Ahmed Husain, Chief Executive Officer of the BCDR. The discussions underscored Bahrain's dedication to building international partnerships that link institutional expertise, academia, and the global arbitration community.

The meeting also explored potential future collaboration with the University of Miami's International Arbitration Institute and Paul Hastings LLP. The focus was on advancing cross-regional cooperation, professional training, and research in international dispute resolution, aligning with Bahrain's strategy to attract partnerships with leading educational and professional institutions.
