Manama: The Cooperation Committee between the Capital Secretariat Council, Municipal Councils, and various government agencies held its regular meeting, chaired by Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture. The minister highlighted the significance of ongoing coordination between the councils and government authorities to deliver service projects aligned with national priorities. He acknowledged the councils' role in Bahrain's development and stressed the importance of fostering dialogue and adopting initiatives that address community needs and support the public good.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Saleh Taher Tarada, Chairman of the Capital Municipality Council, underscored the committee's function as a crucial channel of cooperation between the board and municipal councils. He noted that the committee's regular meetings enhance collaborative efforts, promote the exchange of expertise, and ensure the efficient implementation of service projects for the benefit of citizens.
The meeting also covered preparations for the rainy season, proposed amendments to building regulations, and a draft decision on the management of central and public markets. Updates were provided on infrastructure projects in the Northern Governorate, progress on detailed land-use plans, and the East Sitra Housing Project.
