Manama: Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff. The Commander-in-Chief affirmed that, under the ongoing care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and with the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, the BDF continues to develop and modernise all its weapons systems and units.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed commended the efforts of the Chief of Staff and senior officers in preparing, organising, and executing the joint Bahrain-UAE military exercise "Rabdan Shuwaiman", which concluded successfully yesterday, Saturday, in the presence of His Majesty the King and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Commander-in-Chief praised the dedication, precise administrative planning, and professional operational execution, which reflected the highest levels of discipline and professionalism and were crucial in achieving the exercise's objectives at all stages. Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed also commended all participants for their contributions and efforts which led to the success of the exercise. Participants included the Hamad bin Isa Airborne Brigade of the UAE Presidential Guard and members of the Royal Guard of the BDF, reflecting the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and the UAE and strengthening strategic partnership and ongoing military cooperation between the two forces.
