Muharraq: The Ministry of Works has announced significant road closures in the Muharraq area as part of ongoing junction improvement projects. These closures will affect the Khalifa Al Khabeer Highway, parts of Road 1124, and Shaikh Abdullah Avenue, impacting traffic flow in the region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the specific closures will include the left turn from Khalifa Al Khabeer Highway to Road 1655, which leads to Muharraq Port. Traffic will be redirected to nearby junctions to accommodate this change. This closure is set to commence on September 20 and is expected to last for 40 days.
In addition, the Ministry has stated that there will be a full closure on Shaikh Abdullah Avenue and Road 1129. This will affect the section between Road 1124 and Shaikh Abdullah Avenue, with traffic being diverted to surrounding roads. This particular closure is also scheduled to begin on September 20 but will last for two weeks. Road users are urged to adhere to traffic rules to ensure safety during these periods.
