The Civil Defense Directorate announced that it has put out the fire in Karbala and recovered 4 bodies.
A statement by the Directorate stated that under the supervision of the Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari and the leadership of the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Mohsen Kazem Alak, the civil defense teams took complete control over a fire that broke out in an old commercial market with a variety of commercial activities, taking from the roof of the market commercial warehouses constructed of sandwich panels with highly flammable .It is located on Imam Ali Street, peace be upon him, near the shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in the holy governorate of Karbala.
He added: "Civil defense teams recovered four bodies from inside the market. As a result, the civil defense requested an investigation to be opened at the police station responsible for the geographical area and to summon a forensic expert to determine the causes of the fire. Preliminary information indicates that a gas cylinder caused the fire as a result of cooking in one of the Husseini processions.
