Manama: The General Directorate of Civil Defence has intensified inspections of chemical storage sites in industrial facilities as part of its comprehensive safety oversight strategy. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance workplace safety and minimize incidents related to chemical storage and use across the industrial sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the campaign aims to ensure compliance with national and international standards for hazardous materials storage. This includes verifying the presence of appropriate safety systems such as ventilation, alarms, and emergency plans. Inspection teams are actively conducting on-site checks to ensure all safety requirements are met.
Moreover, the initiative is focused on raising awareness among staff about proper safety procedures and the correct handling of hazardous chemicals.
