Beijing: His Excellency President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China received His Excellency Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. HE President Xi noted that as global changes are occurring at an accelerated pace, a strong China-Pakistan relationship is beneficial for maintaining regional peace and development. He emphasized the need for both countries to work towards building an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era, aimed at bringing benefits to the peoples of both nations and establishing a model for neighboring regions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HE President Xi expressed China's readiness to collaborate with Pakistan on upgrading the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the China-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement. He also stressed the importance of Pakistan taking effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions within its borders.
HE Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan's commitment to the one-China principle and expressed eagerness to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries. He pledged to enhance cooperation across various fields and assured that Pakistan would make every effort to ensure the security of all Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions in the country.
