Manama: Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff, attended the 55th anniversary celebration of the Royal Shields, which coincides with the 57th anniversary of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an address delivered by the Commander of the Royal Shields. The event also included the honouring of senior officers, both active and retired, who have served in this unit.
The Chief of Staff highlighted the BDF's ongoing development across all sectors, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, and the efforts of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the BDF.
