Chief of Public Security Attends Launch of Dubai Police Cybercrime Awareness Platform

Dubai: Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, participated in the launch of Dubai Police's cybercrime awareness platform, held on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the World Police Summit 2025. Present was Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chief of Public Security expressed gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for the invitation to attend the launch. He outlined the platform's objectives in raising public awareness to prevent cybercrimes, noting the increase in digital forgery, identity theft, and electronic fraud. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of educating the public on safeguarding personal data.

He acknowledged Dubai Police's efforts in adopting and developing artificial intelligence applications in policing, which have elevated its international status in the field. He remarked that this progress demonstrates a forward-looking approach to enhancing security through modern technologies.

Lieutenant General Al Hassan congratulated Dubai Police on receiving ISO 42001 certification during the summit and praised the event's organization, noting its contribution to achieving its intended outcomes.

He further highlighted the summit's objectives in enhancing policing capabilities, specifically through programmes and exhibitions focused on the future of police work amid technological advancements and artificial intelligence applications. He mentioned that these efforts support specialized policing and crime prevention by optimally utilizing human resources and digital tools to improve public safety.
